About Amy Zeldenrust

Entranced with plants all her life, an obsession with landscaping kicked in with the purchase of her first house. She devoured plant books and magazines, botanical names and origins, then converted a parking lot on the property of her Ohio home into a lush backyard retreat.

Upon moving to Las Vegas in 2003, Amy studied the area plant life and ecology with the Master Gardeners program through the University of Nevada-Reno Cooperative Extension. She has been an active Master Gardener Volunteer since 2004. In 2009, she won first place in the Southern Nevada Water Authority’s Landscape Awards for the design of her own home. She still travels to Colorado and Ohio to help clients there.

For over five years, Amy has worked as a consultant, providing expertise and design ideas for landscapes, organic vegetable gardens and herb beds. She uses her artistic background as a decorative painter to suggest wall colors and interesting materials for use in landscape designs.
